Dynamic Forms

If the last test selected is incorrect, it can easily be changed and the form will be immediately updated to match the new test specification.

Automatic Scoring

Test Scoring is automatically calculated in real time. A Pass or Fail will be indicated on the form. In addition, built in security measures may be configured for the assurance that if one section is failed, further testing in other sections will be prevented.

Drawing Capabilities

Roads Scholar has the ability to draw or create hand written notes anywhere on the form. These can be temporary explanatory drawings to be deleted or notes that will be permanently stored with the form for later display or output to a printer.

A Zoom feature can be used to make it easier to read and enter information on a specific section of the form.

Error Checking

To ensure that the examiner selects appropriate values, special controls have been designed into the forms. This benefit ensures that all required data and all optional data have been entered correctly.

GPS Tracking

Each Roads Scholar tablet computer can be configured with a GPS system. This allows the system to track the route being taken and note any deviations from the proper route. Any driver infractions that are entered on the form will be stored along with the GPS coordinates of the location of the infraction. At the completion of the exam, the proper route, the actual route and the location of any infractions can be easily displayed using Google maps.

Database Integration

The Roads Scholar system connects to a jurisdiction wide database allowing applicants to book road exams on the Internet or through call centers. When the applicant arrives at the office, employees need only confirm applicant identity and validate the information, avoiding complete data re-entry. Scheduled exams for applicants can then be automatically transferred to the portable tablet. When an examiner uses Roads Scholar, all required applicant road exam data will already be stored.

At the completion of the road test the data collected can either be uploaded to the database immediately or stored for use at a later time. Once uploaded, the examiner will be able to view the form and a map of the test. All driver infractions will be listed along with the location at which they occurred.
